Housed in a restored 1920s former nunnery in Grey Lynn, The Convent Hotel and Ada Restaurant offer a unique blend of heritage architecture and contemporary hospitality.

Our name pays tribute to Sister Ada, a nun who once cooked every meal for the community housed in this very building. Today, Ada Restaurant carries her legacy forward in our light-filled atrium, serving a seasonal Modern European menu designed for sharing, a dining experience recognized in the 2026 Michelin Guide.
